Conservation Festival 2018

Dear Parents/Guardians of 5th Grade Students:

On Tuesday, May 1, the 5th grade class will participate in the NRD Conservation Festival at the Assumption Arena and Finnegan Park from 8:45 a.m. until the end of the school day. (We will begin class at school at 8:00 a.m. as usual.) Students will rotate through stations on water, wildlife, soil, weeds, using a GPS, and the like. Students will need to wear jeans or other suitable pants or shorts and tennis shoes. Students are advised to dress in layers and wear sunscreen. Each student will need to bring a nutritious sack lunch as we will not be leaving the festival for lunch. If your child is not able to bring a sack lunch, please have him/her let us know by Thursday, April 26, and we will order a sack lunch for your child from the kitchen for that day. Your child’s lunch account will be charged the same as a normal school lunch. All of the students will return to school after the festival. They will be dismissed at the end of the school day at 3:25 p.m.

If you have any questions, please call one of us teachers at 432-0708.
